Christmas at the Castle with Barb Kronau-Sorensen

I invite you to join me at the Stronghold Castle December 16th for an intimate and classic acoustic Christmas concert.
I'll be singing traditional German, English and Norwegian Christmas songs sung in their native languages. I will also be including a few new original Christmas tunes and your holiday favorites.

Sing along and join the music in this authentic 80 year old castle "decked with boughs of holly". The concert takes place in the Great Hall in the Stronghold Castle located at 1922 Illinois Rte 2 North, Oregon, IL 61061
Concert times:
Dec 16th Early Concert Show includes chili dinner and holiday treats 5:00 pm
Dec 16th Evening Concert Show includes holiday treats and candle light 8:00pm
Come early on Thursday December 15th at 5:00 - 7:00 for an extra treat for the younger audience (of all ages) - the popular "Stories at the Castle". Santa will be making an appearance during the storytelling! 
Overnight rates are available below if you'd like to extend your stay and enjoy a pre-holiday get away for the weekend to visit family or friends in the area, take in the natural beauty and sights, or simply to enjoy a stay in the cozy rustic style lodges on castle grounds.

*** Overnight packages include a campfire and s'mores with Barb, the castle director and the production crew for conversation in the evening after the 8:00 concert.

5:00 pm  show  -  $20.00/Adult,  $10/Child 12 and under, Free for 6 years and younger
8:00 pm show -  $35.oo/Adult,  $10/Child 12 and under, Free for 6 years and younger
Overnight packages prices:
$125.00/person / per night - includes 1 concert, breakfast, morning castle tour, 1 overnight stay
$250.00/person / 2 nights - includes 1 concert, 2 breakfasts, lunch, dinner, morning castle tour, 2 nights stay, and the chance to explore the magnificent serene castle grounds. Includes "Stories at the Castle" if you come on Thursday.

$375.00/person /  3 nights - includes 1 concert, 3 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, morning castle tour, 3 nights stay, and the chance to explore the magnificent serene castle grounds. Includes "Stories at the Castle" on Thursday.

Group discounts available for overnight stays and concerts tickets:
$475 for 4 people/night - includes 1 concert, breakfast, morning castle tour and 1 nights stay
Concert ticket discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? No

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is no public transportqaion available.  There is parking on Castle grounds at the Brewbaker entrance building. A short walk across the parking lot to the lodgings and castle.

Is it casual dress or formal?
The 5:00 show is dressy but casual, while we hope you can come in semi formal garb to honor the celebration and occasion, we won't keep you from enjoying the concert if you dont.

What's the refund policy? 
48 hours notice is a full refund

 If the event is cancelled, a rain check will be issued for the same concert on another date, to your email address.

If you have any questions or did not receive your refund, please call 815-732-6111.   The castle must be notified 48 hours prior to the booking date if you choose to cancel your reservation.

Refunds wil be responded to within 5 business days.
